Frequently asked questions

Tours

How does tour.voyage build a tour?

You pick a region (or your own cities), a length and a number of countries. We look for sequences of countries linked by direct flights, then test every departure day of the month and several ways of splitting the nights to keep the cheapest combinations.

Why direct flights between stops?

Because a multi-country trip should stay simple: fewer connections, fewer chain delays. When you choose your own cities, a one-stop flight is accepted between two stops if there is no direct flight, within the limit you set.

Can I choose my own cities?

Yes: in the form, switch from “A region” to “My cities”, add 2 to 5 cities, and we test every visiting order to find the cheapest.

Why no flight between two very close cities?

A flight under 300 km (Lyon–Geneva, Brussels–Amsterdam) makes no sense: the train is simpler. Those routes are left out.

Prices

Where do prices come from?

From searches made on Aviasales in the last few days, through the Travelpayouts partner programme. Each price is the cheapest ticket found for the exact date of the flight, and the date it was found is shown.

Why do some searches return no tour?

We only show a tour if every flight has a real price on its date. For dates far ahead or routes rarely searched, those prices are sometimes missing: rather than showing an estimate, we prefer to show nothing. You can then create an alert.

Is the price guaranteed?

No. Ticket prices change fast: always check the price when booking. The price shown is the one found on the date indicated.

Are prices in euros?

They are found in euros. You can pick another currency in the menu at the top: amounts are then converted at the European Central Bank daily rate.

Booking

How do I book?

Each flight has a “Book” button that opens the Aviasales search on the right date. tour.voyage does not sell tickets: you book with the airline or agency you choose on Aviasales.

Are the flights on a single ticket?

No, each flight is a separate ticket. If a flight is delayed, the next one is not protected: keep a margin, especially before the flight home.

Does tour.voyage get paid?

Yes, through a commission when you book via our Aviasales links. It does not change the price you pay.

Visas and travellers

How does the visa filter work?

Add the passport of each nationality in the group. For each country on the tour, the strictest requirement among those passports applies (visa-free, ETA, visa on arrival, e-visa, visa). You can then keep only visa-free countries, or easy visas.

Is the visa information reliable?

It is indicative (Passport Index data, updated regularly). Rules change: always check with the embassy or the country's official website before you go.

Alerts and events

How does an alert work?

When a search returns no tour, leave your email. After you confirm, we rerun the search every day and email you once as soon as a tour has real prices for all its flights.

What is “Travel for an event”?

Every Monday we test tours around big events (Christmas markets, carnivals, competitions…): the tour takes you through the event's city while it is on. Only events with a real-priced tour are shown.
